“ Fantastic niche fish tapas restaurant with beautiful harbour views. So many wonderful dishes to choose from. Small plates with so much flavour. We ate almost all the menu with a lovely bottle of wine. Meals a little pricey but don't let that put you off, worth every penny. Service with a smile and you can even watch Chef showcasing his culinary skills. Highly recommend. We will certainly return if in the area again. Thanks Fred we had a fabulous evening. “ I can not recommend this place highly enough! Absolutely loved it! In the heart of Looe, right on the estuary with the working fishing boats within touching distance. Size isn't everything! Booking in advance is advised. It's relatively small and a tad quirky, (the loo is up the alley! Hysterical)!, but the quality and presentation of the food was second to none. Great staff and service, too. The mezze-style menu was a perfect way to sample an array of dishes. A sensory explosion for the taste buds. As for the wine, I am keeping an eye out for this, blooming gorgeous. Thank you all, and Happy New Year! ”
“ Fred and his awesome team never fail to knock it out of the park when it comes to their exquisite fish tapas / small plates, immaculate presentation and friendly service. As locals, we’ve visited many times since they opened for business, and it’s one of our favourite places to dine in town. Returning time and time again for our fish-kick. It’s a relaxed, informal, intimate dining experience - situated right on the harbour front so you can soak up that stunner of a view. Fred, very focused on quality, freshness and sustainability, sources most of his produce from our local waters and does his upmost to work with what’s available. His flair and obvious passion for producing well executed dishes with maximum flavour, without overpowering the delicate fish, is evident in each mouth watering bite. If that wasn’t enough, his amazing front of house team are there to greet you with a smile, some friendly banter and offer great recommendations on wine pairing - of which they have many options - again doing their best to spot light local artisan makers. Always uncompromising, always amazing, and if you adore exceptional fresh fish tapas, you’ll be in awe of this little gem of a restaurant, and its cheeky chef / owner Fred. “ i stumbled into this small restaurant, escaping the cold and wet, and was instantly enveloped by a warm welcome and cozy atmosphere. it's unpretentious dining, yet the food is truly outstanding and incredibly inspired. this is exactly the kind of place i love – where the chef interacts with you as you dine, and the dishes are simple but showcase the best of seasonal produce, fresh seafood, and incredible flavor. my god, the flavor! very underrated - come here for an unique gastronomic experience. ”
